Memory Boards & Market Day

I have numerous memory boards at home. It’s no surprise that I am totally in love with them, especially when I find an exquisite fabric that will brighten up any room. I have one in the office too, and when I feel stress, I just turned and looked at funny pictures I have of my boys and hubby smiling or even making faces at me. Joy.
I place quotes of encouragement’s and happy notes to brighten any day too.

So how do you use yours?

Market days are tired, not going to deny that… but overall experience is always fun. We meet many very pleasant customers, full of smiles and complements once they looked at the store… that really brings a smile to my face. We also have notice that little girls love my store; it is such a cute scene. They will beg their mum to get one of my memory boards, but unfortunately, they do not always get what they ask for.
So far, touchwood we have not meet anyone that is difficult at all. Lets keep it that way.
As always, I have to thank my hubby for helping me get up 4:30 in the morning, load the items into the car the night before, and not to mention carry the heavy loads to set up. He has always been patient… quietly and contended to have his coffee, Turkish lunch, and his Sat newspaper and let the day just swift by… until it is packing time and we do it all over again in one month’s time.

Market Day - Kirribilli

The weather was bad to us early in the morning while we were “trying” to set up. If I have to choose either rain or wind… rain will be so much better to deal with. The strong wind made it so much more difficult to set up.

Once again thanks to my loving hubby all went well… after a few disagreements. Just to show we are not ready to enter the amazing race yet now.

Since are still new to the market world, there are still loads to learn. I love setting up the store, the preparation leading up the day, coming across other talented and creative people, interacting with interesting consumers, and seeing someone loving my products as much I love making it.

The downside, Mother Nature can be so unkind sometimes, but it is all part of the package. So we just have to face the situation and do the best we can, I guess that is life.

It has been an amazing journey so far; something that I will cherish every moment. Hubby has been supportive throughout; being the heavy weight logistic guy, a caterer, a calculator and most importantly a loving hubby.

What more can I ask for?
Happy happy joy joy all the way.

Have a go. Anybody can do it – Alan Parker

One of my new year’s resolutions is to create a blog. Not just any blog, the findings within this blog will bring out the creativeness and imagination out from our mundane daily routine.

I tend to dawdle on what I need to do, while listening to the Michael Jackson “don’t blame it on the boogie”, suddenly this little voice in me say enough is enough! No more excuses, hence the creation of “Mushi Mushi.”

I will bring findings of gorgeous creations to this blog, hoping it will inspire you in anyway.
So it is only appropriate on my first posting to show case my very own creation.

In the process of making more for the next market in Feb 2008
Contact me if you want to order one today.

Hope you like it.
